Toy Story: Green Alien Chocolate Covered Popcorn

Green Alien Chocolate Covered Popcorn Ingredients

If you love to bake, you may have most of these items in your cabinet. Making this chocolate covered popcorn was a little messy, but very quick and easy.

After you have your popcorn popped, melt your white chocolate. Our microwave has a melt setting, if your microwave does not have that setting, change the power to 50% and set it for 15 seconds at a time while stirring. You do not want to burn the chocolate or it will get thick and hard.

Once your white chocolate is melted, add your green food coloring. I used the gel food coloring, but liquid should work just as well.

Spread your bag of popped popcorn out on a baking sheet so you can evenly pour your melted green chocolate over the popcorn. The more melted the chocolate is, the easier it spreads. Do not worry about making each piece of popcorn be perfect with the same amount of chocolate.

Now comes the messy part, once you pour all of your chocolate on the popcorn it is time to mix it. You can use a spatula to lightly stir and flip over the popcorn, trying to coat as much as possible, or use your hands. Do not stir or mix too fast, otherwise you will crush your popcorn.

Toss on some of the candy eyeballs to give your popcorn the Toy Story Green Alien look. This white chocolate covered popcorn recipe was easy to make and so yummy. I did not want to share with the kids.
